Our Team

For more than 50 years, Sam Marshall Architects has taken pride in a streamlined and efficient design approach. By carefully choosing a team of dedicated professionals, we have been able to keep our staff small, even with several very large commercial projects in the works.

David Alsop, president of Sam Marshall Architects, has been with the firm since 1983. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Southwestern Louisiana and is licensed in Louisiana and Florida. If you see David, be sure to remind him that the SAINTS won the Super Bowl that one time. He tends to forget.

Mike Marshall, vice-president, received a Master of Architecture from Texas A & M University. He is a LEED AP, licensed architect in the states of Florida and Alabama and has been with SMA since 1988. He specializes in educational building design, construction detailing, and surfing through tar balls.

Jonathan Fish, project architect, joined our team in 2005. After graduating from Mississippi State University, Jonathan designed in Jackson, Mississippi and Washington, DC before returning to Pensacola for Hurricane Ivan relief efforts. He is a licensed architect in the state of Florida, a LEED AP, and a CDT. Jonathan moonlights as an artist and cryptozoologist.

Luke Marshall joined Sam Marshall Architects on March 1st, 2019.
